Anthony Benante, B.A., CFA candidate (anthonyb@baron-financial.com), is a Wealth Management Principal with the Baron Financial Group.
Tony is a graduate of Indiana University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in Economics. He later went on to complete graduate level courses in Accounting and Finance. Tony has passed the Series 7 and Series 63 professional license exams. He is also a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). Tony passed Level II of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam. The CFA designation is recognized as the preeminent designation for those in the field of investment management.
Tony's career is deeply rooted in the financial industry. He has held positions in fixed income, equity and option markets as well as corporate banking. While working in banking, Tony was a key player in structuring numerous corporate banking deals. His involvement included negotiating credit agreements and all related material issues with those agreements. Tony spent 6 years of his career as a portfolio risk manager trading equity options and equities. During this time, he managed profit and loss, position risk, option pricing levels, and hedging decisions with a defined portfolio of equity names. He researched and interpreted market data, marketplace changes, economic, financial and business news to make profitable trading decisions.
Prior to joining the Baron Financial Group, Tony served as an institutional fixed income sales person where his responsibilities included promoting the sale of a full line of investment-grade fixed income products to institutional accounts nationwide. He also developed new client relationships with bank Presidents, CEO's, CFO's, insurance company CIO's and money managers. This professional experience has enabled Tony to develop strong client relationship skills, sound portfolio management and asset selection experience and risk management abilities. He is also able to identify appropriate fixed income investment opportunities for portfolio managers and develop structured portfolios to meet clients' performance and income needs.
Tony enjoys helping people with their financial opportunities and challenges. He understands that asset selection, risk management and portfolio balancing are extremely important in asset decision making and his experiences bring these aspects together to help him present a customized approach that is well balanced and poised for growth while considering the potential downside risks.
Tony is married and enjoys spending time with his wife, Joanna and their two sons, AJ and Joey. In his free time, he participates in sports and outdoor activities and coaches Little League Baseball.
